Sean Tindell is a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast with a deep commitment to public service, community involvement, and family. He is the son of Dora Harvey and the late Tom Harvey Jr., as well as the late Sidney Tindell. Sean and his wife, Claire, reside in Gulfport, where they are raising their four children: Sam, JT, Meredith, and Henry.

Throughout his life, Sean has been actively engaged in his community. He has been actively involved in numerous civic organizations and has coached youth sports teams, reflecting his dedication to mentorship and service. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he enjoys spending time with his family on their farm in Stone County.

In May 2020, Sean was appointed by Governor Tate Reeves to serve as Commissioner of the Mississippi Department of Public Safety. Prior to assuming this role, he served as a judge on the Mississippi Court of Appeals, representing District 5, Position 2. He was appointed to the bench by Governor Phil Bryant following Judge David Ishee’s appointment to the Mississippi Supreme Court.

Commissioner Tindell previously served in the Mississippi Senate, representing District 49 from 2012 until his judicial appointment. During his tenure, he chaired the Senate Judiciary A Committee and served as vice chairman of the Senate Tourism Committee. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney for the Second Circuit Court District, serving Harrison, Hancock, and Stone Counties, and later as City Prosecutor for the City of Biloxi.

In private practice, Commissioner Tindell represented a wide range of business clients and governmental entities, including the City of Diamondhead, Harrison County, the Stone County Utility Authority, and the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office. He also held a real estate broker’s license and managed commercial and residential rental properties.

Commissioner Tindell earned his Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College School of Law, where he served as student body president and received American Jurisprudence honors. He also holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed a finance-focused study abroad program at the London School of Economics.

Amy Kathleen Bowman is a passionate advocate for Irish culture on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Born in California and raised in Idaho, she began Irish dancing at age 12 and advanced through the levels to champion and finally into leadership. In 2012, she co-founded and ran a performance-based Irish dance school for six years before relocating to Utah for college.

A determined and non-traditional student, Amy supported herself while attending Utah Valley University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship and minors in Business Management and Marketing. 

Amy moved to Biloxi in 2020 after a summer visit turned into a life-changing love for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Since then, she has become an active community leader, serving on the Biloxi Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Hibernia Irish Society. 

In 2022, Amy opened the Niall O’Leary School of Irish Dance in Mississippi. She has introduced hundreds to the joy of Irish dance throughout her 20 years of teaching experience.

In 2023, she founded Feisin’ the Coast, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization promoting Irish culture through dance, song, and music. She directed the first Irish festival and dance competition to be held on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The event was so successful, it has been recognized and supported by the Consulate General of Ireland in Miami.

Amy traces her Irish heritage through the Fitzgerald family on her mother’s side and continues to honor her roots through both personal passion and public service. She currently works as the Marketing and Communications Director for Coastal Family Health Center while running the nonprofit, dance school, and her own marketing agency. Her hard work and success led to her being recognized as one of the 100 Successful Women to Know on the Gulf Coast in both 2022 and 2024.

Amy’s genuine love for Irish culture and unwavering commitment to community make her a vibrant representative of both Irish heritage and Gulf Coast pride. When she’s not running businesses or teaching dance, Amy enjoys traveling, attending all types of shows, and recharging at home with her Miniature Australian Shepherds, Merry and Pippin.
